Soul Weather Mid-Soul Weather November 2024 | Baba Ji, Shri Yukteshwar & Polarization
Welcome to this episode of Soul Weather, in what is a momentous week for us in North America. The presence guiding this transmission is Baba Ji, the great Kriya Yogi and Kriya Master, and he is arriving on the heels of Shri Yukteshwar, who spoke earlier in the week. I want to name that clearly, because the two teachings are connected. Shri Yukteshwar had described the current moment as a beautiful moment of personal growth and radical honesty. Baba Ji now steps in to help orient us within that moment, not only as it relates to what is happening in North America, but also to the many hot spots around the world where similar dissonance is playing out.
Baba Ji comes in immediately with a very strong pillar of love energy, similar to the energy Shri Yukteshwar brought earlier this week. I want to be careful with the phrasing here. This love is not decorative and it is not soft in the sentimental sense. It is a pillar, which means it is strong enough to allow us to be head to head with polarization, head to head with hatred, and head to head with duality, face to face. That is the posture Baba Ji is teaching. Not avoidance, not spiritual distancing, and not a rush toward positivity. He is asking us to stand in front of the polarization that lives in the world and to recognize the same tendency inside ourselves. If Reiki is your practice, this posture matters, because Reiki also asks you to be present with what is actually there instead of bypassing it. But the primary teaching here belongs to Baba Ji, and the primary instruction is to look.
He names very concretely what he is asking us to look at. He says that all around the world, and North America included, there is a very tangible exercise available to us right now, which is to face in ourselves our tendency to interpret the world through the duality lens and through polarization. I want to anchor this in recent memory. During the pandemic there were those who had been vaccinated and those who had not. Now there are Trumpers and non-Trumpers. Shri Yukteshwar had already brought this up. We need to look at what we did during the pandemic. We need to look at who we were ostracizing, how we were polarizing our families, how we were polarizing our communities, and how we were polarizing globally. That was not long ago. This is not an abstract teaching. It is a call to remember our own recent behavior.
From that memory, Baba Ji brings forward the next distinction. This is not a moment where we in North America get to sit and look over at conflict somewhere else. I want to use the image everyone is in the saddle. We are all in the saddle. It is all happening in our communities, in our families, and in our hearts. This is a stone cold sober moment, and it is an opportunity to look at the polarization habit. Polarization is not simply a political condition. It is a habit and a lens. And, crucially, it does not matter what side you are on, because there is no right side.
This is a distinction that must not be softened. Baba Ji is showing me that what makes the wheel of polarization turn is that every person who holds a polarized view actually feels they are right, for whatever reason. That feeling of rightness is not exclusive to one camp. Many rights exist across the world. But he is saying that it is all wrong, all misguided, and all dangerous. Polarization does not serve all living beings. It serves whatever living beings you have decided are on your side, and it will not serve a whole set of others. There are holes in the basket. Polarization is a basket with holes in it. It cannot hold everyone. It cannot allow all of us to be safely nested and secure in harmony.
Baba Ji is not delivering this as an accusation. This is spoken with a lot of love and compassion for the egoic state and for the polarized minds we have. We did not come up with polarization yesterday morning. This has been going on for generations. Intergenerational trauma is a key factor, connected to ancestral lineages, the wars, and the genocides on the planet. We are all connected to it. We are all in it. And it does not matter who we are, or what side of the equation we think we are on, because we are all touched by it. This is not a message that lets anyone off, but it is also not a message that condemns anyone. It simply names the field we are living in.
Then Baba Ji makes a very direct statement about the logic of polarization itself. The notion that polarization creates safety is wrongheaded. It has never worked. Why would it work now. That is the correction being offered. It is not phrased as a self-help insight. It is a straightforward exposure of a bad belief. From there, he turns the pronouns. It is not them, it is us. The us is that we are all one, therefore it is everybody and every living being. That is the tribe Baba Ji is teaching. He extends this in an image I want to describe warmly. His energy is so strong that it is as if he would gather everyone in his arms. He does not make a distinction. He is not only holding people in that space of unconditional love, he is embodying that love and inviting everyone to be in this Safe Haven of love and respect for all living beings.
I want to name the difficulty of the practice honestly. It is tricky, because so much of what we think is based on us and them, every moment of the day. The habit is stealthy and insidious. Baba Ji is saying that the moments that touch us more directly, and all the moments around the globe where dissonance is occurring, are an opportunity to sit and clean up our acts. To look at our hearts. To ask who our hearts welcome and who our hearts reject. To do this in all honesty, without judgment, without criticism, and without harshness. To simply witness in ourselves the polarization habit. This is the practice. It is not to fix anyone else first. It is to notice what is actually alive in your own heart.
He then makes another distinction that carries a lot of weight. The polarization habit is often completely linked in with fear, which means it is linked in with our desire to create safety. And yet that particular habit is one of the most destabilizing and dangerous habits on the planet. The minute we other someone, other an animal, or other a plant, we can abuse that person, we can abuse that animal, we can hurt that plant. Othering is a fundamental infrastructure of duality, and it is also the fundamental aspect of the human experience that we are here to transcend. This transmission is not about better feelings. It is about the specific dismantling of a specific mechanism.
Baba Ji, like Shri Yukteshwar, brings in the image of counting votes. Shri Yukteshwar had been very tuned in on this. Watching an election and counting votes reveals that it is one vote at a time. It is one person at a time. Therefore each person counts. Just as each vote counts in a count, each person’s heart counts. That same logic is how Baba Ji is redefining the word tribe. Tribe, he says, is often used as an excuse. It gives us a sense of ours and a sense of the others. But tribe is fundamentally the all one mantra we hear so often. The idea of tribe as something that breaks apart in parts on the planet is skewed. It has created enormous havoc, suffering, torture, disrespect, and oppression, and yet we keep returning to it for safety.
So Baba Ji proposes something quite specific. When we think of tribe, we need to include in our tribe all living beings. We are all in it together. We are all, in these lifetimes we are in, trying to transcend a profound disorientation and misconception that runs deep in our bones, cells, molecules, DNA, and pain bodies. This is Baba Ji’s corrective use of the word tribe. It is not a metaphor. It is a redefinition.
I want to bring back a phrase from the previous Soul Weather, the Personal Growth Olympics. Baba Ji picks it up. Here we are, this is the Personal Growth Olympics. Can you imagine, he says, if you really every day tackle this one, honestly listen to the dialogue in your head, and watch the polarization thing go on in live action, as if it were CNN inside you. That comparison is significant. He is not asking for grand action. He is asking for close, ongoing internal observation of the polarizing running commentary that lives in the mind. The essential work he names is beautiful and beautiful essential work. Not glamorous. Essential.
From there the teaching moves into the imagery of the trees. I want to speak about how much I have been looking at trees this week. A tree does not run around. A tree is stable. It lives out its life and lives out the seasons. I want to be careful with my phrasing. It is not that the tree does not have a choice. It is that the tree has the grace to live the seasons and to trust the seasons. Trees are teachers. The forest is the deeper image. Think about the beautiful web under the earth, the roots, the organisms that participate in the ecology of the forest underground, and how that manifests above ground in relationship to the sun.
Then comes the central line of this transmission. The tree, as aware as it is of the forest, keeps coming back to its roots to the earth and its branches to the sun. It keeps coming back to its fundamental orientation of connection to the earth and connection to the sun. That is the position. If we can live that experientially, and connect through our alchemical instruments, in terms of our Kundalini and how the life force moves in our body, then we will recognize that tribe is the planet and everything on the planet, and that that tribe is all in relationship to the same sun. Baba Ji is precise here. Tribe is the planet. Not a group. Not a side. The planet. And all of it is in relationship to the same sun.
He then intensifies the grounding piece. As the earth moves with various intensities expressing more than ever, we need to remember what it takes for a seed in the earth to crack through to the sun. Think of the energy it takes for a tiny green sprout to crack through densely packed earth. To break through to the sun, to break through to harmony, to the state of growth that includes the blossoming of our plant and moving into our harvest, there needs to be a push. There is resistance and a web of disharmony that must be pushed against. You are witnessing that push. Baba Ji then shows me little turtles emerging from their eggs and running toward the ocean, with predators all around and a clear mission. We are in that moment right now. Do not get confused about what the push is actually about on a more profound level. All of us are in that position, personally, to shake down disharmony on a global, systemic, and national level. To be in the shakedown of that in ourselves.
That is where he places the responsibility. Every drop of love dripping out of your heart is love and energy going into that push. We are all in it together. We are part of an engine. Every action counts and every thought counts. He then adds the honest question. Are you moving toward disharmony, or are you in some way disoriented, and how many parts of you may be disoriented versus how many parts of you are oriented. Keep doing that work. Keep streamlining that radical honesty as an act of living, right up to the moment of that little plant cracking through the earth on its journey toward the light and toward the sun.
Baba Ji then reassures us of the resources available. With the amount of energy moving right now, and the presence of the ascended masters, each one of us is in a time of essential fundamental growth. Do not get lost in the big picture. Keep coming back to what this is for you right now, and know that whatever that is, it is absolutely relevant to the big picture. Whatever clears your heart and opens your channel is the work. Each one of our hearts is fundamentally important. It is the heart of hearts, in the center of our being, where we know we are all one. Any therapy you are doing, any challenge you are meeting, wherever you are on your journey, we are all given an opportunity to do this work in a precise way. That includes the other, whatever current title you have for the others. Everyone is doing it in their own way. We are all trying to figure out the same thing, doing it differently, but on the same journey.
When we drop into that position, we enter the web of the life force. We enter the fascia of this whole planet, and all living beings are in that same fascia. I want to name the practices that make this experiential. When you do qi gong, when you do tai chi, when you do all sorts of those practices, you become aware of and interact with that fascia, with that connective tissue that connects us all. It is there. It is real. The more you lean into it experientially, the more resources you have to meet your current growth potential and challenges.
I want to invite Shri Yukteshwar back in at this point, because both are saying the same thing. This is a moment where you have a lot of power, and it is important to understand what power actually means and to align with that power, just like the tiny leaf that has the power to become, and the seed that has the power to be a huge Centennial tree. This is not a metaphor for individualism. It is a description of the real energetic capacity available right now. To tap into however that is manifesting for you and to tackle this beast and transcend its limitations. Not once and for all, because that would be an abiding enlightenment, which is a tall order. Simply to move somewhere in that direction, and to have respect for every step along the way.
Both close with a very direct image. We are all climbing a mountain right now. But we have been given the best hiking boots possible. The gear is there. The sticks are there. The cheerleading team is there. But you still have to do the walking. That is on you. That is on all of us. Putting one foot in front of the other in alignment with your heart, your heart song, your genius, your service, and this beautiful gift of life. You are relevant. The particular way this challenge is presenting in your life is relevant. Moments like this, whether in North America or around the world, put the now in all caps. Not because this now is more urgent than any other, but because it draws us to our attention, to our senses, and to our hearts, more firmly grounded and rooted in heart consciousness than ever. That is true of every now.
If Reiki is your practice, this transmission gives it a clear job. Reiki can support the grounding Baba Ji is naming. It can support the stillness required to witness the polarization habit inside you without judgment, without criticism, and without harshness. It can support the fascia awareness described in qi gong and tai chi. But Reiki is not the teaching here. The teaching is Baba Ji and Shri Yukteshwar showing you the polarization habit, redefining tribe as all living beings on this one planet under one sun, and asking you to be in the shakedown of disharmony in yourself so that the push toward the light can happen through you. The heart song we close with is not a metaphor. It is what you are being asked to sing loud and clear, and to know what you are singing. Blessings to your heart song.
